If you don't respond to a gm when they check up on you, it's considered afk. It's generally frowned upon to script in one client and play with the next because technically, you're only playing on one client and letting a loop do the work for your other client.

If a staff member suspects you of using a resource gathering script (such as recall mining), they will be more inclined to jail/remove your resources and may find a way to halt your script. If you plan on using a script, you had best be prepared to respond within a short time frame.

Oh I guarantee that people are getting away with it. Staff is not always available to police stuff like this (especially in the current stage of the shard).

However, staff aren't stupid. All it takes is one afk catch and that whole chest is nuked (Don't think we don't check your bags for runebooks and follow to the "source" of your storage).I know I have personally nuked a few of those chest and any other suspicious chest has been confiscated.

If you have personally observed any instance of illegal resource gathering, you can pm one of the staff members to take a look into it.

Yeah unfortunately we have not been around much as we've been busy in the back end of things. I'm even contemplating coding a UO server engine from scratch... there are lot of back end messes on this shard. RunUO is spaghetti code and I've tried time and time again to fix things but it still ends up looking like this:

(I would hate to be the electrician trying to add a new circuit to that... I doubt that's even to code!)

After the revamp we will be more active.

I still pop in ever now and then though, and when I DO spot any illegal activities I'm not hesitant to hand out a ban or jail, and due to my inactivity, I may tend to forget I even did it. Shocked

Ha, that's not bad at all. Try that same thing with all the wires the same grey color.

ye we dont even really play anymore cause of the dead playerbase....... why would we afk resource our stuff lol. And as for the new player insinuating we did it ask any vet here. IBH was comprised of 5 IRL brothers working together all 5 of us would resource together and use the axes that spawn the pixies for extra wood and have one of us slay them while the rest resource thats how we made millions.

You want to insinuate someone of afk'ing just by looking at their house. than why is Altar not in question? some of us are vets who worked hard, we didnt IDOC for all our shit.
