Masterpiece System

What are they?: Masterpiece weapons are special weapons that are rather uncommon to find. A Masterpiece weapon does not initially come with any special properties, but it will have a line on the weapon that will tell you how many points it has. Only masterpiece weapons will contain this line (So that's how you know you've found one). Masterpiece weapons are special because they allow the player 100% control over what they put on their weapons. By collecting masterpiece resources and applying them to the weapon, it will gain new power depending on what resource was used.

Who can get them?: Any player can get a masterpiece weapon. Masterpiece weapons apply to swords, macing, fencing and archery weapons. This system does not apply to spellbooks

Where can I find them?: There exist three different ways of getting a masterpiece weapon: Crafting, killing supreme creatures and peerless bosses.

Crafting: Sometimes, you can get lucky and craft a masterpiece item. At gm level, this is very uncommon and even at a legendary level, this can be a challenge to do. You have control over which weapon you will make into a masterpiece by crafting a weapon you want. Crafted masterpiece weapons can only be produced using regular resources (As in, using colored resources like oak or verite ingot will not produce a masterpiece weapon. You must use regular ingot or boards). Normally, crafted masterpiece weapons do not come with any special properties on them (They are blank, they don't contain DMI bonuses or arms lore bonuses). However, special UOML crafted items such as adventurer's machete, icy scimitars and such will retain their base properties if you are lucky enough to make one a masterpiece.

Supreme Creatures: If you're lucky, upon the death of a supreme creature, there will be a masterpiece weapon on their corpse, hidden amongst the rest of the loot. Be sure to check carefully. It is said that the higher the fame of the supreme creature, the more likely you will find a weapon. Supreme Creatures tend to drop even higher grade masterpiece weapons that can range from 110 to 130 points.

Peerless Bosses: Upon the death of a peerless boss, there's a chance that a masterpiece weapon can be found on the corpse. Sometimes, peerless bosses can drop from 0 to 3 random masterpiece weapons (3 being extremely lucky). These are the best masterpiece weapons as they range in points from 110 to 150 points (Max attainable). Peerless bosses also tend to drop the rarest and most prize masterpiece resources.

Rundown ( 7/2/08 ):
70 - 115 Points: Dungeon Chests
90 - 110 Points: Crafting
110 - 130 Points: Supreme Creatures
110 - 150 Points: Peerless Bosses

How do I get masterpiece resources?: In order to power up your weapon, you need masterpiece resources. These resources can be found in many places. There are three different types of masterpiece resources:

Common: Common resources can usually be found on certain lesser creatures or powerful monsters. For example, powder of detriment can be found on creatures with high fame and withering cold can be found on cold/frost related creatures. Sometimes you can find these resources in locked chests as well.

Uncommon: Uncommon resources are harder to find than common resources. Uncommon resources may only spawn on 1 type of creature or the way to get a certain resource may be more involved. Supreme creatures also tend to drop these from time to time.

Rare: Rare resources are the most valuable of them all. Rare resources can impact your weapon in ways that are unusual and unheard of including allowing meleers to weald a bow or being able to hit with special spells. Rare resources can be found of peerless corpses or might be obtained on the corpses of high end supreme beings.

When can I start getting masterpiece weapons and resources?: You can craft masterpiece weapons as of September 14, 2007. You can also collect certain common masterpiece resources (To see which ones, please visit the masterpiece theatre in the game next to the casino or for more information, you can read the masterpiece resource thread)

http://www.uovalor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=925

Why would I want to craft masterpiece weapons when there's perfectly good artifacts out there?: Unlike artifacts, you are given 100% control over what you decide to put on your weapon. Also, this brings a new element to the game as you search to collect resources on certain creatures you normally would have never bothered hunting. Also, there are some things you can do to your weapon that no artifact or loot piece can do. If you work hard to build your weapon, it can become very potent.

So does this mean I can make a weapon with like 100% hit lightning?: Not to that extent. Like everything else, there are caps and limitations of each property. Some of them are the standard caps that apply to looted/created weapons while other properties have increased caps. You can find out the limit of each property by visiting the masterpiece resource thread.

Masterpiece Resources (What are they and what do they do?)
Masterpiece resources are applied to masterpiece weapons to give them new powers. Some of these powers are common to weapons (Like Damage Increase) while the most valuable and rarest resources give powers that have never before been seen in Sosaria (Hit Holy, Hit Dark).
The following is a list of resources and where you may be able to get your hands on them (The max amount of a resource you can put on a weapon is also shown. These are updated every so often as new caps are extended/revised). PLEASE NOTE: Because the point system of each resource may vary over time, the most accurate listing of point costs is in the masterpiece theatre beside the AOV Casino in the actual game.

Common Masterpiece Resources
Found on certain creatures, dungeon chests, supremes, peerless, roulette

This putrid masterpiece resource can be found on certain creatures related to poison. When applied to
a masterpiece weapon, your weapon gains an aura of toxic fumes. The harder the poison creature, the
more often they will drop these. In felucca, poison creatures drop more of these but they will cost the
same amount of points. (Contaminating Slime)(Hit Poison Area)(100 max. Can only have one area hit spell per weapon).

These potions are a cloudy white color and send wisps of smoke out of the bottle once opened. With this potion, you can increase your power of alchemy, giving you better effects when using potions. These double in felucca (Draught of Alchemy)(Enhance Potions)(25 max).

Careful with these, they're rather shocking. These electric roots have a special energy property to them. They can be found on creatures related to energy or who are created from crystals. The harder the energy/crystal creature, the more often you can find these on their corpses. I felucca, you'll find more of these on corpses but they will always cost the same amount of points. (Electric Storm)(Hit Energy Area)(100 max. Can only have one area hit spell per weapon).

Sometimes, when a mage enemy is killed, the remainder of their energy can be harvested. This energy is not potent enough to allow you to cast spells, but it still has the power to dispel creatures once applied to a masterpiece weapon. Killing a mage enemy in felucca tends to produce double the essence due to the higher presence of evil in that facet. (Essence of Dispelling)(Hit Dispel)(50 max).

The remains of a frost/ice creature. Sometimes the creature's essence can be trapped in a vial to use on masterpiece weapons. Applying cold resistance to a weapon can most certainly help players against cold creatures, especially in the prism of light. Only 1 can drop per creature, even in felucca. (Essence of Frost)(Cold Resist)(10 max).

Once an energy creature dies, sometimes the ghost lingers around for awhile. That ghost's energy can be trapped in a vial and used on masterpiece weapons. Applying energy resistance to a weapon can most certainly help players against creatures with massive energy attacks, especially chain lightning and energy bolts. Only 1 of these drop per corpse, including those killed in felucca. (Ghost of Energy)(Energy Resist)(10 max).

These magical iron rods contain an unstable physical force. These can be found on creatures related to rock and stone as well as creatures who hit hard with melee and who possess low magery. The harder the rock/stone creature, the more often they will drop these items. In felucca, rock/stone creatures will drop more of these but as with the other resources, they will still cost the same amount of points. (Iron force)(Hit Physical Area)(100 max. Can only have one area hit spell per weapon).

How lucky that you've found some of these. It's rather common to find lucky clovers because many plant creatures grow them on their bodies. If they are killed, you might be able to snatch a couple. Plant creatures in felucca seem to have more of these. (Lucky Clovers)(Luck)(200 max).

Mythril is a precious metal known to man and elf because it is strong but lightweight. One ingot is enough to reduce the strength requirement of your weapon in half. A strength reduction of 50% is given to your weapon when applied. Lances are a lot easier to use when mythril is applied to them. It is believed that mythril can be found on certain creatures that live in mines. The yomotsu are particularly skilled at finding this metal. (Mythril Ingot)(Lower Requirements)(1 max. Can only be applied once per weapon).

Can be found on the corpses of numerous creatures with high fame. The powder can be used on masterpiece weapons to give it extra damage increase. Lesser detriment powder can be found on creatures in any trammel facet (Malas, Ilshenar, Trammel, Tokuno). There exists a stronger powder called greater detriment powder that allows you to gain more damage increase on your weapon without sacrificing points; this powder can only be found in felucca though. (Detriment Powder)(Damage Increase)(50 DMI max).

These round items are nice and warm to the touch and they emit a large beem of light, shining through even the blackest night. They add nightsight to your weapon and glow so much and so well that this item only need be applied one time. They can be found on creatures who emit an aura of light in the dark. Only one can drop per creature, even in felucca. (Shimmering Light)(Night Sight)(1 max. Can only be applied once per weapon).

This is what you get when you destroy a creature of fire and flame. Sometimes the soul can be trapped in a vial to use on masterpiece weapons. Applying fire resistance to a weapon can most certainly help necromancers. These do not double in felucca. (Soul of Fire)(Fire Resist)(10 max).

These are the putrid spirits of poison/acid creatures. Sometimes the creature's toxic aura can be trapped in a vial to use on masterpiece weapons. Applying poison resistance to a weapon can most certainly help players against poisonous and acidic creatures, especially during trips to swamps or a venture into paroxysmus' lair. Like the other spirits, only 1 of these drop per corpse, even in felucca. (Spectre of Nox)(Poison Resist)(10 max).

Rock, stone and high melee creatures hit hard and also die hard. Sometimes during the creature's death, their spirit can be trapped in a vial to use on masterpiece weapons. Applying physical resistance to a weapon can most certainly help players against pretty much every creature that can melee. It's rather useful and stacks nicely with reward cloaks and robes. Even in felucca, only 1 will drop per corpse. (Spirit of Rock)(Physical Resist)(10 max).

These odd, tubular resources add a special power to your weapons. When merged with your masterpiece weapon, they will give you the ability to lower your enemy's attack for a short time, allowing you to dodge their blows. The items were created by the jukas so that they would gain advantage during battle to try and wipe out the meers. Many jukas carry these around with them. (Surrendering Attack)(Hit Lower Attack)(50 max).

These odd, tubular resources add a special power to your weapons. When merged with your masterpiece weapon, they will give you the ability to lower your enemy's defense for a short time, allowing you to attack them better. The items were created by the meer so that they would gain advantage during battle to try and wipe out the jukas. Many meer carry these around with them. (Surrendering Defense)(Hit Lower Defense)(50 max).

This red hot masterpiece resource can be found on creatures related to fire. When applied to a masterpiece weapon, your weapon gains the power of fire. Difficult fire creatures will drop these a lot more often. In felucca, fire creatures drop more of these, but they still cost the same amount of points. (Volcanic Aura)(Hit Fire Area)(100 max. Can only have one area hit spell per weapon).

This cold masterpiece resource is icy to the touch and can be found on certain creatures related to ice or cold. When applied to a masterpiece weapon, your weapon gains a snowstorm aura. The harder the ice/cold creature, the more often they will drop these. In felucca, cold creatures drop more of these but they will cost the same amount of points. (Withering Cold)(Hit Cold Area)(100 max. Can only have one area hit spell per weapon).

Uncommon Masterpiece Resources
Found on certain creatures(uncommon), dungeon chests(rare), supremes, peerless, roulette(uncommon)

When volcanos erupt, they spew hot ash and magma everywhere. When the magma cools and hardens, some rocks being to form. Every so often, some of the smaller rocks don't cool down entirely and develop a blazing hot core inside a hard, blaze orange shell. When opened, these rocks create a surge of heat and fire, like a blazing inferno. When applied to masterpiece weapons, they add the ability to hit your opponent with fireballs. Powerful, but unfortunately, these are not common. Supreme creatures tend to carry quite a few of these, the large ones anyways. (Blazing Inferno)(Hit Fireball)(50 max).

Finding a dark soul to capture can be quite a challenge as they aren't as common as some of the other resources. Dark souls can only be captured from creatures who possess life leeching powers. Most of the creatures are quite powerful and are usually avoided by folk, hence why they are not the easiest things to find. You'd be best to hunt these in felucca as you can capture more dark soul per monster due to the increased evil of the facet. +1 life leech for 1 point. (Captured Dark Soul)(Hit Life Leech)(100 max).

The most powerful fey creatures will fight till the death for the power of good. They will seek out evil magic users and ensure they are dead and erased from the world. Their dedication to the power of good gives them great strength, magic and stamina to the point where they never seem to slow down. Killing a greater fey being may reward you with a captured light soul, capable of adding stamina leeching properties to a masterpiece weapon. These double in felucca. (Captured Light Soul)(Hit Stamina Leech)(50 max).

The most powerful mage creatures have a spirit so strong, they seemingly never run out of magical capabilities. No matter how often they launch spells, unlike a human, they always seem to have mana. Once they are killed, this power can sometimes be harvested and applied to masterpiece weapons to give it the ability to leech mana. These double in felucca. (Captured Mage Soul)(Hit Mana Leech)(50 max).

These arrows are burning hot with the power of fire. It is believed that these were created a long time ago by a group of archers from Jhelom who discovered how to set an arrow ablaze without the arrow being destroyed by flame. These are rather uncommon to find but worthwhile to those who find it as they add hit magic arrow to masterpiece weapons. It is believed that some supreme creatures have a tendency of finding these items. (Conflagrant Arrow)(Hit Magic Arrow)(50 max).

These strange disk-like resources can be found just like powder of detriment, except not as common. It is said that the toughest creatures will sometimes drop these beauties. When applied to your weapon, they add defense chance increase. Being able to increase your chance to dodge will certainly help things. These do not seem to double in felucca. (Ethereal Shielding)(Defense Chance Increase)(15 max).

When applied to your weapon, they add hit chance increase. Being able to increase your chance to hit will certainly help things. These do not seem to double in felucca. Archers around the globe have always fought with having to hold a ton of ammunition when they went hunting. Luckily for them, a botanist discovered that the herbs Terrallis Scentantium more frequently known as "Crimson Sage" has the ability to reduce how much ammo you use. When ground up into fine powder and rubbed on a masterpiece weapon, these herbs magically reduce your ammo cost. These herbs are in great demand amongst the most skilled archers. Currently unreleased (Adds lower ammo cost to bows)

Some gardeners around Skara Brae have been cross-pollinating plants to create these special herbs. Apparently, a cross-pollination between nightshade, ginseng and century plants produces this herb which can raise your stamina levels. Unfortunately, creating these can only be done when the century plant blooms, which is once every 100 years, making them uncommon around Sosaria. A while back, some supreme creatures came through the farmlands and raided a bunch of these uncommon herbs so some supremes may still be carrying them. (Herbs of Stamina)(Stamina Increase)(10 max).

There was once a cartographer who studied the ability to terraform (Manipulate the elements of nature). He was strong and unlike most people, did not fall prey to the corruption of power. He used his knowledge for the good of the people. Before he died, he went around, gathering the elements and trapping them in crystal balls. He called these crystal balls the "Orbs of Elements" because contained within them was a pure element of either earth, cold, fire, poison, energy and even chaos. Many of his orbs still exist somewhere that can bring new power to your masterpiece weapon, you just need to find them. (Orb of Elements)(Gives 100% of a type of elemental damage)(Can use as many times as you like to change your current elemental damage but costs points each time).

Out of the coldest icebergs you can find these cores. They are blueish, sphere-like chunks of ice, the coldest known to man. Holding one for even a second without studded gloves will harm your skin, piercing through it with painful frostbite, which is where the name originated. Not many people are skilled enough to both, find the cores AND transport them back safely to be used before they lose their powers. Supreme creatures seem to have found a way to protect the cores from melting. (Piercing Frostbite)(Hit Harm)(50 max).

There are quite a few creatures in the world that love to ruin your armor with acids and magic. However, a clever alchemist was able to research these creatures and use their armor corrupting aura to create the opposite effect. Having released his studies to the world, we can now do the same. Potions of repair add self repair to your weapon and it is said that you can harvest these by killing monsters who corrode your armor and weapons. It is unknown if more of these can be harvested in felucca per kill or not. (Potion of Repair)(Self Repair)(5 max).

Every so often, during a thunderstorm, lightning will strike a tree in Sosaria, causing branches to burst off them with some of the power of lightning being transfered into the branch. These branches are uncommon but very valuable as they add hit lightning to a masterpiece weapon when applied. Supreme creatures seem to be able to locate these more than any other creature. (Raging Thunderstorm)(Hit Lightning)(50 max).

Reagent powder has been created for years and years and were in so much production, you'd figure the same could be said today. However, the reagent salesmen of Sosaria appealed to the governers of the land to stop its production as they were losing business from their customers. Years later, it was deemed illegal to create anymore reagent powder, although some people continued making it, particularly in the underground tunnels of Bucaneer's Den in felucca. As the years passed on, these became more uncommon. (Reagent Powder)(Lower Reagent Cost)(15 max).

Nobody is certain where these resources came from but there have been many theories of their origin. Some believe that they fall from the mountains during autumn while others believe it to be blackmoor that's been left to decay underground for years. Wherever they came from, they are uncommon but they will bless your masterpiece weapons with the power to reflect physical damage. Supremes drop these. (Reflective Stance)(Reflect Physical Damage)(15 max).

These teal colored scales are very special. They are rather uncommon and it may take awhile before you can find one. Luckily, they drop on a wide variety of creatures with high fame, similar to powder of detriment. When the power of these scales is harnessed, they will change the damage types of your weapon. Instead of doing 100% physical, you can end up doing 50% cold and 50% poison. The damages the scales of balance will apply to your weapon is shown on the resource. The set will drop with a random 2 damage types. (Scales of Balance)(50/50 elemental damage)(Can be done as often as needed but it will always take away points if you wish to change them more than once).

These shiny red orbs aren't really pearls, but they do kind of resemble them. They leak a vile reddish ooze that doesn't make them favorable for jewelry. However, once applied to a weapon, they can increase your swing speed by 1%. In the course of our daily travels, we've found that certain quick creatures (Creatures who have great speed), seem to have an uncommon chance of dropping these. In felucca, they also drop more. (Speed Pearls)(Swing Speed Increase)(50 max).

The concept of the power of velocity in relation to bows was first thought up by Shamino but was not developped until later. An alchemist from Magincia, who was a friend of Shamino's, heard his theories and decided to put them into place. He took arrows and drenched them in a solution of greater agility mixed with strength in order for the arrow to retain its form from such the high speed. To give the arrow the force needed to inflict damage, blackmoor and bloodspawn were used. The alchemist made quite a few of these but soon exhausted his supply of blackmoor and bloodspawn and could not continue producing them. Due to the rarity of finding these resources, the alchemist decided to retire. His theories still exist in the book "Alchemy of the Ages", however, only 7 of these books are known to exist. Currently unreleased (Adds velocity to weapons)

Rare Masterpiece Resources
Found on supremes(High end, very rare), peerless(rare)

Another resource created thanks to alchemists. The essence of rejuvenation is also called "the elixir of life". Not many know the ingredients that are mixed together to create this vial of greenish liquid. Some say it's unicorn blood mixed with special herbs while others say it's just a lot of ginseng and garlic. Whatever the ingredients are, the alchemists of Nujel'm aren't telling their secrets and only sell to a select few so good luck trying to barter with them, you'd be better off trying to get your hands on one through supremes or peerless. (Essence of Rejuvenation)(Adds hit point regeneration)(5 Max)

Essence of stamina is an interesting item indeed as it's actually a vial of thick, reddish blood. The blood came from a supreme fleshrenderer that was found in doom. The speed of the fleshrenderer was intense and many people were slain trying to destroy it. When the fleshrenderer finally dropped, the remaining warriors gathered its blood in some empty vials as a symbol of its defeat and as a tribute to those who fought it but did not survive. They realized afterwards that the power of supremecy was running through the fleshrender's veins the whole time and that some of its power was retained in its blood. When applied to a masterpiece weapon, you gain the ability to regenerate your stamina, much like the fleshrenderer could. If you're lucky, you may be able to get one of these rare vials of blood. (Essence of Stamina)(Stamina Regeneration)(5 Max)

Fishermen have been finding healthy pearls for years. Although many will not reveal their secrets to gathering, it is believed that the waters near the spectre dungeon have created these. The presence of the ethereal warriors and the fairies who live above the lands have blessed the waters, turning regular pearls into healthy pearls. Unfortunately, fishing has been restricted from Ilshenar recently and healthy pearls can no longer be fished up. Some say that some can still be found around the lands, particularly on supreme creatures. (Healthy Pearls)(Health Increase)(10 max).

Mage's mind is one of the six scrolls of wonder that was created by the great mage Mallock before his death. Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases total intelligence when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's mind)(Increases total intelligence)(10 Max).

Mage's wrath is one of the six scrolls of wonder that was created by the great mage Mallock before his death. Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases spell damage when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's power)(Adds spell damage increase)(10 Max).

Mage's regeneration is one of the six scrolls of wonder that was created by the great mage Mallock before his death. Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases mana regeneration when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's regeneration)(Adds mana regeneration)(5 Max).

Mage's rest is one of the six scrolls of wonder that was created by the great mage Mallock before his death. Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases faster cast recovery when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's rest)(Adds faster cast recovery)(3 Max).

Mage's regeneration is one of the six scrolls of wonder that was created by the great mage Mallock before his death. Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases total mana when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's wisdom)(Increases total mana)(10 Max).

Using ancient techniques and foreign spell mantras, he was able to create this scroll which increases faster casting when applied to a weapon. Some of these scrolls are still rumored to exist but finding one can be a challenge. (Mage's wrath)(Adds faster casting)(Can only be done once).

Just like reagent powder, these used to be a lot more common than they are today. Unlike reagent powder, it was not illegal to make, but it was incredibly challenging to create. Only a few alchemists could successfully produce the red powder, capable of reducing mana cost; the rest ended up with a black tar that burned holes through their alchemist tables. Some of the clever alchemists still create the powder to this day, but they rarely sell any. Luckily for the market, a few crafty thieves have smuggled some into circulation. (Magic Powder)(adds lower mana cost)(Max 20)

Not much is known about the origin of this resource. How somebody discovered its power is mystery enough. These spongy masses are blueish green and might have come from yew when the swamps once corrupted the city. Wherever they came from, all we know is they are a rare find these days. When applied to a weapon, it adds the balanced attribute which allows you to drink and use potions while equipping a 2 handed weapon or bow. Currently unreleased (Adds balanced attribute)

These orbs are actually organic. The orbs grow around Sosaria but require a very specific spot in order for the plants to bloom. Even if the plants grow in a good spot, the chance of a plant growing the fruit we call "Orbs of power" is slim. If one is found however, it can be used on a masterpiece weapon to give you more strength. (Orbs of Power)(Adds Strength)(10 max)

Powder of agility is produced by century plants. Many people also call it "pollen of agility". Its rarity is due to the fact that a century plant only blooms every 100 years. Even when a century plant DOES bloom, the flowers are usually shrivelled or burnt in the hot desert sun before actually creating the pollen. (Powder of Agility)(Adds Dexterity)(10 max)

When the heartwood was discovered and spellweaving was introduced to the lands of Sosaria, the elves and humans gathered together one day and decided that each skill must be documented. They gathered the smartest, brightest and best candidate for each skill and asked them to document their skills and knowledge on parchment. This parchment was then rolled up and blessed with power. The elves and humans would then give the scrolls to a gifted apprentice of each skill to futher their knowledge in the skill. The scrolls were locked away in the bedlam library, before the unfortunate incidents occured there. The scrolls were lost during the Monstrous Interred Grizzle's creation and chaos. Some of the scrolls were transferred away to safe locations but many of the others were picked up by gruesome creatures. The creatures may have delivered them to their masters, the peerless bosses and the supremes. (Scroll of Greater Knowledge)(Adds +15 skill to your weapon (Skill is shown on the scroll))(Can do an unlimited amount of times to change the skill on your weapon, but it costs points each time)

Once a piece of deadwood, hacked from a reaper when it was still alive, spellcaster's weaponry represents the power of magic at its finest. A single piece of deadwood is enchanted by a group of hundreds of powerful arcanists, giving it the power to gain the mage weapon attribute. Why are these so rare? First, it's difficult to find enough arcanists who are willing to enchant the deadwood and secondly, the chance of a successful enchantment is unlikely. (Spellcaster's Weaponry)(Mage Weapon(0 penalty)(1 time use).

A tool for the hunter. Totems have been used for centuries, particularly in rituals of sacrifice. Using some particularly dark magic, savage shamans created the totem of eradication, an item capable of slaying creatures with ease. These red skulls have been found around the lost lands in old savage territory; many were burried underground. After researching modern savages, it appears that creating these totems is no longer practiced today. (Totem of Eradication)(Adds a slayer to your weapon. Slayers can be super or specific slayers (lizardman, bat))(Can be done unlimited times to overwrite your current slayer, but will always cost points).

Ultra Rare/Scarce Masterpiece Resources
Found on peerless(Very rare)

Myridium is the rarest metal in Sosaria and finding this magical chunk of ore is quite a challenge. Miners go nuts if they even find a flake of myridium. Myridium gives your weapon the ability to be used by any melee weapon skill, making it very powerful. This can even be applied to bows to give dexxers the ability to use bows. Best part is it does not cost any points, provided your weapon has at least 1 point left to be known as a masterpiece. (Chunk of Myridium)(Free (Provided at least 1 point is still on the weapon)).

These strange mushrooms seem to be from the same family as zoogi fungi. They were first shown to us by the Red Solen Matriarch. She told us that these mushrooms used to grow all over their hives but since their water supply has been tainted by toxic swamps, they have become virtually extinct. It's a shame actually, as the liquid in this mushrooms contain a powerful damaging agent that when applied to masterpiece weapons, gives them added strength and damage, increasing the damage you would normally do by a certain percent. Although rare, adventurers have claimed they have seen these on peerless corpses. We are not yet certain if this is a rumor or not. Currently unreleased (Adds damage modifier)

The Oasis of Y'Nah Teb in the lost lands has been known for its massive earth shattering quakes. Every so often, a mixture of heat and earth have enough energy to crack the ground in the desert. This may explain why the desert is not a clear cut path but rather a labyrinth of paths extending into numerous mountains. Sometimes, the force of the earthquake is so great that it leaves traces of itself behind. This "desert quake" resource can be applied to a weapon to give it 3 area hit spells in one shot! Your weapon becomes imbued with unstable physical area as well as the secondary power of fire on its side. The power of energy also lends a hand to the damage, making this a devastating resource. These resources are truly rare but gems if you can actually find one. Unfortunately, unleashing the power of the earthquake on your weapon will clear any other area hit spells you currently have on your weapon. Currently unreleased (Adds 100% Hit physical area, 60% hit fire area and 20% hit energy area to a masterpiece weapon BUT Sacrifices any other AREA hit spell that was applied to the weapon before hand)

Everlasting wax is a slimy substance that once applied to a masterpiece weapon, will protect it from damage to unheard of proportions. The wax protects so well that it's hard to tell if the blade's being damaged at all. Unfortunately, the wax is rare and cannot be created. The origin of the wax traces back to the minotaurs. The wax was first discovered by Meraktus and the minotaurs and was used to protect their weapons against the brutal treatment they undertook during construction and defense. The minotaurs no longer seem to make use of the wax but peerless bosses seem to have taken an interest in collecting them. Currently unreleased (Adds 10 Self Repair)

Prisms of the Damned are black chunks of the purest dark sapphires, cursed by demons and undead with the blood of ten thousand dead warriors. These items are so powerful, they create an aura around crypts and abyss areas to prevent cleansing invasions by the fey and those who are pure of heart. It is said that if applied to a masterpiece weapon, the weapon will be imbued with the hellish power of the damned. Hitting an fey or holy creature or another player with high karma will hit them with a cloud of dark, evil essence, doing some very powerful damage. These crystals are incredibly rare but it is believed that peerless have a chance to drop these. Currently unreleased (Adds hit dark)

The only scrolls more valuable than the scrolls of knowledge that were blessed by the humans and elves are the scrolls of lost knowledge. They originated in the lands of tokuno and as legend has it, these scrolls were created by an ancient civilization of monks. They were stored in an abandoned cave and protected with powerful enchantments for the future descendants of the monks. When the enchantments wore off, the scrolls were collected and placed on a boat. This same boat was the boat that was transporting the treasures of tokuno to various islands. Unfortunately, the boat crashed during a nasty storm and most of the scrolls were lost. Ihara Soko believes that the storm that wrecked the boat was conjured by the wicked and the scrolls are now under the hands of the damned. Currently unreleased (Adds an extra 20+ skill that does not overwrite skills added with other scrolls of knowledge)

These books could only have come from the fey. They are the only ones capable of such a powerful blessing that once applied to a masterpiece weapon, will bless it from being looted or stolen without needing to insure the weapon. These books are a rare find and nobody really knows where the fey hide them. It is believed that these tomes are created for Lord Oaks but it has not been confirmed. Peerless bosses have a rare chance to drop one of these tomes. Certain fey creatures, such as Lady Melisande (before her corruption), may have been entrusted with these tomes of blessing, then selfishly kept them when the power of evil overtook her. Currently unreleased (Blesses a masterpiece weapon)

A tool for the hunter. Totems have been used for centuries, particularly in rituals of sacrifice. Using some particularly dark magic, savage shamans created the totem of extinction, an item capable of slaying creatures with ease. These blue skulls have been found around the lost lands in old savage territory; many were burried underground. After researching modern savages, it appears that creating these totems is no longer practiced today. The totem of extinction differs from the totem of eradication in that it creates a new slayer on your weapon, allowing you to get 2 slayers on your weapon instead of 1. Totem of extinction will always be a super slayer. It is believed that totems of extinction were reserved for the tribal chief. (Totem of Extinction)(Adds a slayer to your weapon. Slayers are always super slayers (undead, fey, arachnid))(Can be done unlimited times to overwrite your second slayer, but will always cost points).
