Special Custom itemsThere are various misc items on this shard that are not part of any particular system but can be quite interesting and fun to use. Here are some of them: Coal Ore Originally used for a Christmas event, this ore can now be obtained while mining. Unlike any other ore, it is not smelted into ingots. Instead, it can be lit on fire by a skilled camper, or other source of heat. The fire will damage mobiles in the area using the standard notoriety check based on who lit it, or who lit it's source. The intensity of the fire is determined by how much is stacked, up to a max of 25 per stack. (won't let you stack more). Coal is also helpful to use to smelt ore into ingots. Goldflingers These are like regular bows, but they use gold instead of arrows. Can be found in loot or crafted. They do slightly less damage than a normal bow because they use gold as opposed to arrows. Land mines These can be crafted using tinkering tool. When set on the ground they will vanish out of sight. If a mobile who falls in the ShouldHarm() category (basically, if wither or other area spell would hit it) walks on it, the mine sets off and they take fire damage. Reaper's Axe Just like gargoyle pick axes, these axes have a chance to summon wood nymphs. Wood nymphs have the same abilities as their ore elemental counterparts so be careful when attacking one. Killing a wood nymph will reward you with logs of the nymph's color. Water Gems These gems can sometimes be found by fishermen. Fishermen kill kraken, sea serpents, water elementals and even leviathans to find these gems. They contain the power of the sea and are used to recharge two leviathan artifacts: The Oracle of Poseidon and The Skeleton Key of Davy Jones. © Copyright 2010 Age of Valor |
